Tashi was born and grew up in Tsum. Tashi spends most of his time in native lands, working in the firm, looking after the horses, harvesting Yartsagundu, trading in neigbouring Tibet and seasonal portering job for cash income. He has been working as a trekking trip sup–porter from 2014. His humble and grounded character adds more value to the trip team.
Recently, Tsum Valley Home Stay helped him establish a café in his home town. His wife works offers visitors looking for a proper cup of coffee. They both were trained in coffee making in Kathmandu during their one of the off-season. They live in Chhokangparo with their beautiful daughter.
