Tsering Phuntsok Sherpa

Sherpa is originally from the mountain area of Dolakha district located in the foothills of scared Gaurishankar Himal (Altitude 7,134 m). His mother is from Chhokangparo, the first village of upper Tsum. He is passionate about and enthusiasm in tourism activities ever since he grew up close to Thamel, Kathmandu, the starting point to set trekking and expedition journey. He learned from the field, studied in the college and earned Bachelor Degree in Travel and Tourism Studies in 2014. And also at the same year, he obtained the Himalayan Trekking Guide license jointly organized by Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hospitality management (NATHM) and Trekking Agency Association of Nepal (TAAN). Apart from guiding profession in busy trekking season, he has been working as an Operation Manager in Tsum Valley Homestay since February 2015. His hard work, level of focus, attention and sincerity leaves deeper impression among trekkers. He has also specialized in trekking leadership, communication and conflict management, responsible trekking, geography and mapping, mountain environment and tourism, risk assessment and management, homestay and environment management, leave no trace principle and high altitude sickness.
