During the first part of April 2018, we trekked part of the Budhi Gandaki Gorge and up the Tsum Valley. We had booked our trek with the Tsum Valley Homestay Association and with Mr. Ang Tsering Lama as our guide. Both the company and the guide were excellent and we give our highest recommendations!
Mr. Sonam Lama runs the Homestay Association very efficiently and delivered what was agreed upon, and more. He provided a cultural and safety presentation before our trek that was very important and provided valuable information. He also found a way to deliver new hiking boots along the trail, far up in Tsum Valley, when one pair of our hiking boots fell apart.
Mr. Ang Tsering Lama was an outstanding guide who was always there for us to make sure we had what we needed. He also has great sense of humour and is very knowledgeable about the Tsum Valley and its residents, religion, culture and wildlife (which was plentiful), and he introduced us to some of his family members and friends there. He is a truly amazing guide!
